Miss Angela Guidos
Miss AngelaMiss Angela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts with emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising from Saint Vincent College. She also has concentrations in Theatre and Marketing. While at St. Vincent she played NAIA women's soccer for the Lady Bearcats, she was part of the first club sponsored dance team and sang in the Saint Vincent College Singers. During her college years Miss Angela began to develop a name for herself by teaching dance and participating in local community theatre. She not only performed in countless musical theatre productions across the county but many of the works were her own original choreography. She was sought out for her abilities in dance training and musical theatre expertise by Greensburg Central Catholic High School where she solely choreographed shows like Annie, Oliver, Fiddler on the Roof, Once Upon a Mattress, The Music Man and most recently Brigadoon, Godspell and The Secret Garden. She also did choreography for Greater Latrobe High School, Hempfield Area High School, Apple Hill Playhouse and the Ligonier Valley Players. Miss Angela was featured in shows performed at the Palace Theatre by Apple Hill Playhouse and Greensburg Civic Theatre and she also performed under the direction of Gene Seracini at Seton Hill University in The Grass Harp. While at Seton Hill University she studied acting, theatre arts, voice and articulation and stage movement with Iva and Gene Seracini, she also studied modern dance and choreography construction with Patty Maloney. Miss Angela has studied with Frank Hatchet, Savion Glover, Judy Rice, Bob Rizzo and Judy Ann Bassing among others during master classes and conventions. She currently studies bi-monthly with master Cecchetti teacher Kathi Halbert to advance her Cecchetti training and to remain at the top and cutting edge of the dance world. Miss Angela is a graduate of Dance Masters of America's Teachers Training School. Miss Angela is a member of Dance Masters of America and is certified by test to teach. She has examined in Tap, Jazz and Ballet. She is also a proud member the Cecchetti Council of America, the Professional Dance Teachers Association, the USA Gymnastics Federation and has her USGF National Safety Certification. As a dancer Miss Angela won numerous national titles and high score awards in both the US and Canada. Some may recognize Miss Angela as the 1994 Miss Fourth of July Queen or from her time spent working for ShowBiz International as an entertainer at Idlewild Park, but she has been teaching professionally for the last 15 years and is the areas foremost dance educator. Her mission has always been for her students to 'learn TO dance NOT just A dance' and the success of her students speaks volumes.

Miss Ashley Masters
Miss AshleyMiss Ashley has been teaching for the Laurel Valley Academy of Dance since 2005. As a dance student Miss Ashley studied all forms of classical dance. She is in the advanced level at Teachers Training School with Dance Masters of America. She has examined in tap, acrobatics and jazz and is certified by test to teach through Dance Masters of America. She is also a member of DMO chapter #16. As a dancer Miss Ashley won countless special and high score awards throughout the Pennsylvania and Ohio area. In 2004 Miss Ashley was selected to perform in the NBC televised Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC. She has taken classes at New York City's famous Broadway Dance Center and has had the opportunity to study with many master teachers in NYC and at various dance conventions and classes. Miss Ashley takes great pride in her ongoing quest for continuing dance education. When she's not at the studio, Miss Ashley works full-time at The Palace Printer in Greensburg and enjoys spending time with her husband Chris.
Miss Casey Miskimmin

Miss Casey began studying the art of ballet at the age of 5 under the instruction of Ballet Master, Andrew Petach. Throughout the years she trained extensively in jazz, modern, acro, ballet, pointe, musical theatre, lyrical and contemporary. During her senior year at Hempfield High School she began pursuing a professional place in the dance world starting with her acceptance to Point Park University's Pre-Professional Dance Program. The completion of this program earned her college credits in the fields of ballet and jazz.

Miss Casey is a Slippery Rock University graduate where she majored in English Literature and minored in Dance. She performed for Slippery Rock Dance Theater during her time at SRU. In May 2007 she graduated Cum-Laude with her Bachelor of Arts degree. In May of 2009 she graduated Summa Cum-Laude from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her Master of Science in Education; specialization Secondary English.

Currently Miss Casey resides Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a substitute teacher and tutor in addition to teaching at Laurel Valley Academy of Dance.

The advice Casey would like to offer is for anyone who is currently enrolled in dance, or would like to experience the art for the first time, comes from her most memorable teacher at Slippery Rock, Mr. Thom Cobb (T.C.):
"If you can talk, you can sing. If you can move, you can dance."

Nothing is unattainable, you just have to have the desire and motivation to reach your goals.
